R Trianguli és una estrela jaganta roja de tipo M4lIIe variable Mira rica en oxigen.[1] Es troba en la constelació del Triàngul a 959 anys llum del Sol .[2] Va ser descoberta en 1890 per Thomas Henry Espinell Compton Espin.[3] Té una magnitut aparent de 6,78, una massa d'1,71 sols. El seu temperatura és de 3 491 K,[4] i posseïx una lluminositat de 1 784 sols ,[5] en 196 ràdios solars.[6]
