NGC 290
NGC 290 és un cúmul obert d'estreles,[1] es troba en la constelació de Tucana.[2]
NGC 290 va ser descobert el 5 de setembre de 1826[3] pel astrònom escocés James Dunlop,[4] té una massa de 5800 sols [5]i és d'época J2000.[6]
Es troba a uns 200.000 anys llum de distància del Sol,[7] en la chicotet Núvol de Magallanes,[8] té una magnitut visual d'11.71,[9] una asensió recta de 00h 52m 02s[10] i una declinació de -73° 09' 42".[11]
S'estima que NGC 290 té entre 30 i 63 millons d'anys [12]i té al voltant de 66 anys llum de diàmetro[12] o 33 anys llum de ràdio.[13]
