Núcleu reuniens
El núcleu reuniens és un component del grup nuclear mig del tàlem. En els mamífers, està situat en l'adheriment intertalámica (massa intermija del tàlem).
Conexions
El núcleu reuniens rep aferencias des d'un gran número d'estructures, principalment del sistema límbico i d'estructures associades a ell.[1]
Per una atra part, envia proyeccions al córtex prefrontal medial, al hipocamp, i a la corfa entorrinal; encara que també existixen escasses conexions eferentes en el sistema límbico.[2][3][4] Les conexions frontohipocampales li permeten regular una gran cantitat d'informació relacionada en l'atenció, aixina com contribuir al aprenentage associatiu, la planificació d'una ruta espacial, i la generalisació de la memòria.[5][6][7][8]
