Kangju

Kangju (en chinenc: 康居; pinyin: Kangju; Wade–Giles: K'ang-chü; chinenc Han oriental: kʰɑŋ-kɨɑ)[1] va ser el nom chinenc d'un antic regne en Àsia Central que es va convertir durant un parell de sigles en la segona potència més gran de Transoxiana despuix de Yuezhi. La seua gent, els Kāng (Plantilla:Lang-zh) eren un poble seminómada indoeuropeo provablement idèntic als sogdianos iranís[2] o atres grups iranís estretament relacionats en ells, com els asians.[3]
Nom

Hill, historiador especialisat en l'antiga Àsia Central, Kangju (WG: K'ang-chü, 康居) estava en o prop de la «conca de Tales, Tashkent [modern] i Sogdiana».[4] Segons Edwin Pulleyblank, Beitian, la capital d'estiu de Kangju, estava en o prop de la moderna àrea metropolitana de Taskent.[5]
Fonts chinenques posteriors, durant les dinasties Sui i Tang, es referixen a Kangju com l'Estat de Kang. En eixa época formava part del kanato túrquico.[6]
Pulleyblank va vincular a Kangju en la paraula tocaria kāṅka-, que provablement significa "pedra" i va propondre que els Kangju eren originalment tocarios que havien emigrat cap a l'oest en Sogdia i es varen establir en Chach (l'actual Taskent). Pulleyblank també va sugerir que la tribu Jié (羯) de Qiāngqú (羌 渠) podria ser gent de Kangju que s'havia incorporat a la confederació tribal de Xiongnu. Pulleyblank va conectar encara més Kangju en Kànjié i el nom Kankar dau a la part baixa del riu Yaxartes pel geógrafo persa Ibn Khordadbeh.[7]
Joseph Marquart, Omeljan Pritsak i Peter B. Golden han notat similituts fonètiques entre Kangju i Kengeres mencionades en les inscripcions de Orkhon, Kangarâyê en Transcaucasia, la ciutat de Kengü Tarban i les tres tribus pechenegas conegudes colectivament com Kangar mencionades per Constantino VII. No obstant, totes eixes conexions seguixen sent hipotètiques.[8]
Idioma
[editar | editar còdic]L'evidència arqueològica sugerix que els habitants de Kangju parlaven un idioma iranio.[9]
