George Washington (Popes Creek, Westmoreland, Virgínia; 22 de febrer, 1732 – Mount Vernon, Virgínia; 14 de decembre, 1799) fon el primer president dels Estats Units d'Amèrica, és considerat un dels "Pares Fundadors" (Founding Fathers)[1] i sovint és nomenat el "Pare de la pàtria" o "Pare del país" (Father of his nation, Father of his country).[2][3]
