Germen de cereal

El germen de cereal és la part reproductiva que germina per a créixer en una planta;^[1] és l'embrió^[2] de la llavor. Junt en el salvat, el germen és a sovint un subproducte de la molienda^[3] que produïx productes refinats del gra. Els grans de cereal i els seus components, com el germen de blat, el salvat d'arròs^[4] i dacsa,^[5] poden ser utilisats per a l'extracció d'oli vegetal o directament com un ingredient de menjar.^[6]
