Lycalopex sechurae

rabosot de Sechura (Lycalopex sechurae)

El rabosot de Sechura (Lycalopex sechurae), cridat també rabosot del desert peruà, rabosot sechurano, o llop de la costa, Gos de mont de Sechura, és una espècie del gènero Lycalopex i és el més menut dels rabosots suramericans.

Va ser descrit per Thomas en 1900 com Canis sechurae. Posteriorment va ser traslladat al gènero Lycalopex . A mitan de la década de 2010 es podia trobar escrit com Pseudalopex sechurae,^[1] sinònim del nom acceptat.^[2]^[3]^[4]^[5]
