Protobaena

Protobaena és un gènero extint de tortuga baénida del Cretácico Inferior de Wyoming.

Taxonomia

L'espècie tipo de Protobaena, P. wyomingensis, va anar originalment nomenada Neurankylus wyomingensis per Charles Gilmore en 1919 sobre la base de USNM 7581, una closca posterior del Thermpolis Shale de Wyoming.^[1] Joyce i Lyson (2015) ho varen recuperar com un baenido basal i varen erigir Protobaena para N. wyomingensis.^[2]
