Luer
Carle August Luer (Alton (Illinois), 23 d'agost de 1922-Sarasota, 9 de novembre de 2019)[1][2] va ser un botànic nortamericana i conservador de museu del Jardí Botànic de Misuri. La seua àrea d'interés varen ser les Espermatófitas, en émfasis en Pleurothallidinae (gènero Pleurothallis) i espècies conexas.[3]
El botànic va fallir el 9 de novembre de 2019, als 97 anys, a conseqüència de les complicacions derivades d'una caiguda.[2]
