Deutsch: Amflora, die gentechnisch veränderte Stärkekartoffel der BASF, bildet reine Amylopektinstärke für technische Anwendungen. Herkömmliche Kartoffeln produzieren ein Stärkegemisch aus Amylopektin und Amylose. In vielen technischen Anwendungen der Papier-, Garn- oder Klebstoffindustrie ist reines Amylopektin vorteilhaft, weil es nicht geliert.
