Description

Ball-and-stick model of the calculated gas-phase structure of the chromium trioxide monomer, CrO3. The structure is predicted to be pyramidal (C3v) rather than planar (D3h).

Structure calculated at the PW91/aD level of DFT, reported in J. Am. Chem. Soc. (2008) 130, 5167–5177.
