Synthetoceratinae
Synthetoceratinae és una subfamília de la família Protoceratidae pertanyent a l'orde Artiodactyla, endèmic d'Amèrica del Nort durant el Mioceno, que va viure fa aproximadament 23.03-3.9 Ma, existint durant Plantilla:Mya.[1]
Taxonomia
[editar | editar còdic]Synthetoceratinae va ser nomenada per Frick en 1937. El seu espècie tipo és Synthetoceras. Va ser considerada monofilética per Webb et al. en 2003. Va ser assignada a Protoceratidae per Webb en 1981, Prothero en 1998, Webb et al. en 2003, Hulbert i Whitmore en 2006 i Prothero i Ludtke en 2007.[2][3][4][5]
