Rita Levi-Montalcini (Torí, Itàlia, 22 d'abril de 1909 - † Roma, Itàlia, 30 de decembre de 2012) fon una mege, investigadora mèdica, neuròloga i política italiana. Rita descobrí el primer factor de creiximent conegut en el sistema nerviós, investigació per la que va obtindre el Premi Nobel de Fisiologia o Medicina en l'any 1986, compartit en Stanley Cohen. Les seues troballes han segut fonamentals per a la comprensió dels mecanismes de control que regulen el creiximent de les cèlules.
